In addition to a children's sermon and prayer time during the worship service, Sunday school for children and youth aged 4 to 18 is held during the 11:00 o'clock worship hour. More detailed information for specific age groups can be found below.
Caregivers are welcome to leave babies and toddlers with Telmo and Rosario in the reception area during the service.
All children are invited to come forward alone or with a caregiver for the Children’s Sermon and prayer during the worship service, after which children and youth ages 4 to 18 may depart for Sunday School or remain in the service..
Our Sunday School operates as a one-room schoolhouse, where children of all ages learn about and explore the gospel together. Our team of six teachers take turns leading children in stories, crafts and games to interact with God’s word in a fun, meaningful way. During the Christmas season, the Sunday School presents a special Christmas music program. Service projects are also organized throughout the year to teach our children a love for serving in the name of Christ.
The Community Church of Madrid has a dynamic youth group composed of teenagers aged 12 to 18. The group meets monthly, either immediately after Sunday worship or on Saturday afternoons, for fun, fellowship, and study. The youth also engage in service projects within the Madrid community.
Confirmation classes begin on the first Sunday of Lent each year for anyone 12 years old and over who would like to explore their faith and take this step of publicly identifying with the body of Christ. Classes are held every Sunday morning during Lent from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Confirmation Service is held on Palm Sunday. Please contact the Pastor if you are interested.
Youth are invited to assist with teaching Sunday School. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills. Please contact one of the teachers if you are interested.
